Conference «Mirada rara: an encounter with queer art»

Last Wednesday August 3, at 6:30 p.m., we welcomed at Il Posto Documentos Ariel Florencia Richards, who gave the lecture «Mirada rara: an encounter with queer art” before an audience of more than 30 people In this lecture, the writer and PhD student in Arts at the Catholic University installed the question around the meaning that the “queer” has in the context of Chilean art and where it can be found today.

Ariel Florencia Richards is a designer, writer and visual arts critic with a BA in Aesthetics and an MA in Creative Writing from New York University. Her lecture «Mirada Rara» takes up some of the reflections she has developed in the context of her doctoral studies, which investigate the relationships between performance, gender and memory.
