Chilean artist. Art Bachelor of the Catholic University of Chile and MFA of the University of Chile.
From the beginning she chose ceramic, following and taking into form Levi-Strauss’ idea of the culinary metaphor to observe and symbolize its transformation processes. As she herself states, her work always begins with a technical gesture: the act of digging in the mind. Then come the materials that she finds in nature and in soft matter, such as her notebook sheets, clay and textiles.
Her work is always in process. The artist often reworks with pieces that have already been shown, dismembering, and recombining them in new processes.
