Chilean artist. Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chile
In his work, Hamilton uses various techniques and formats from small collages, photographs or objects to large installations. He constantly uses work tools that he manipulates and transforms, and also appropriates from the tourist image of Chile, a country that aspires to development, elements of the world of security, arms and design.
The guiding principle of his work is the questioning of the concepts of work, inequality, myth, and history in the context of recent decades in Chile, in particular the period known as post-dictatorship. In this sense, his work refers to the complex consequences of the economic system in Chile, as well as in many other countries around the world.
