Juan Dávila

Santiago, 1946

Chilean painter and visual artist. He studied law between 1965 and 1969. Then in 1970 he entered the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Chile.

In 1974 he traveled to Australia and has settled in Melbourne since then.

His critical, harsh, uncomfortable paintings speak of social and gender issues, politics, landscape and pleasure.
