Chilean visual artist. After studying architecture for two years in Valparaíso he moved to Santiago where he studied engraving with Eduardo Vilches as a free student at the Art School of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
His early exposure to the cultural richness of Antofagasta was key in his later development.
As member of the CADA Collective and the Al Margen group, and throughout his work, he maintains the integration of social criticism and art.
He works with ideas and forces that develop in cycle; they temporarily close to resume in the future. From this point of view, Castillo considers his work as an open art piece.
