Enrique Jezik

Córdoba, 1961

Argentine multidisciplinary artist. He studied engineering at a technical school, then switched to the school of fine arts and art history at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters.

His work focuses on exploring the structures and devices of force, repression, control and violence from various points of view; from its organized and massive form (wars) to its urban manifestations, as well as the small mechanisms of daily control in surveillance systems.

His performances, videos and specific interventions involve tactics ranging from the use of bullets to writing in Braille, to climbing walls and using excavator machines, all to represent the current situation that our society of violence lives in.

The devices used are usually heavy machinery, both for high impact and for the arm industry, in addition to his own body thus protesting against violence.

His work develops sculptural and graphic processes of work and communication.
