Lotty Rosenfeld

Santiago, 1943

Chilean visual artist. Studied at the School of Applied Arts of the University of Chile.

Her career has been marked by questioning and criticizing institutional structures, within the prevailing political and social context in Chile.

Her artistic work is carried out through the linguistics of power by intervening signs and twisting their meaning. As she does in her intervention «A mile of crosses on the pavement» where the lines on the road are turned into crosses that can be interpreted as positive, a sum or even death.

Performs art actions in public spaces, photography, video-registration and video-installations.
