Chilean artist. Bachelor in Audiovisual Communication, major in Film at the ARCOS Professional Institute and master’s in contemporary art and new media from Le Fresnoy – Studio National des Arts Contemporains (Tourcoing, France).
His work could be described as poetic incursions into the humanization of contemporary dystopias. His films, photographs and installations operate with the politics of exodus, exile and the discontinuity of memory. His work blends writing, sound and image, crossing fiction and documentary. Small stories are anchored to the recent history of Chile, articulating the notion of geography as a bearer of historical memory.
The vast landscapes that often appear in his work are conceived as geo-poetic spaces of imagination, open territories for vision and for wandering around.
