Duo created in 2007 and composed by the artists and filmmakers Cristóbal León and Joaquín Cociña,. Cristóbal León studied design and Joaquín Cociña art, both at the Catholic University of Chile.
They are known for their stop motion animations, where they combine figure sculpture, large-scale installations, drawing, photography, design and moving image techniques. With stop-motion, they manage to mix these plastic elements with narrative interest. Their work, whether they act as directors, writers, cartoonists, photographers, and editors, often find direct or indirect inspiration in children’s literature, using and restoring their narrative and visual aesthetics.
Their films, result, in a way, in documentaries about the process of making sculptures, drawings and paintings, where the bodies or hands that do the work disappear.
