Gonzalo Díaz

Santiago, 1945

Chilean visual artist pioneer in the use of neon in Chilean art. He studied at the School of Fine Arts of the University of Chile where he obtained a degree in Art with a mention in painting. He continued his studies in 1980 at the Universitá Internazionale dell’Arte in Florence, Italy.

 He currently teaches Painting and Visual Arts workshops at the School of Fine Arts and in the Master’s Program of Visual Arts at the University of Chile, where he has been President of the Evaluation Commission.  

 National Art Prize 2003.
