Ignacio Veraguas Caripán will be the first fellow of Il Posto’s Research and Documentation Center. His project «Revisiones de un deseo de revista, matrices conceptuales, materiales y visuales de la Revista de Crítica Cultural» was selected by a jury formed by Aimé Iglesias Lukin, Sophie Halart and Antonio Echeverría.

According to the words of Veraguas, her research project seeks to identify, describe and analyze the splicing of the main discussions and visual structures in the material support of the Revista de Crítica Cultural, with the purpose of contributing to the general framework of the history of ideas, philosophical, aesthetic and political discussions in the post-dictatorship and the beginning of the 21st century in Chile. This work will culminate with an exhibition in the new exhibition space of Il Posto Documentos, along with a conference and a brief digital publication that will give an account of the research carried out.

Ignacio Veraguas Caripan (1997) has a degree in Hispanic Literature with a major in Literature and Linguistics and a degree in Aesthetics from the Catholic University of Chile, with a Masters in Theory and History of Art from the University of Chile. He is co-author, with Pablo Chiuminatto, of the book Gusto, sabor y saber (Orjikh, 2022). He is interested in the history and theory of art and literature.
