On Monday, July 24, curator and scholar Jose Luis Falconi’s lecture «Avatars of Indigenism.» He presented about a series of research and exhibitions that raise essential questions about contemporary indigenous art in Latin America based on its circulation and inscription in the aesthetic and political discussions in the region. In his presentation he referred particularly to the work of Guatemalan artists from the Il Posto Collection such as Regina José Galindo, Marilyn Boror, Antonio Pichillá, among others.
