Conversations at Il Posto: regarding Python Morphe

On Wednesday April 27, at 7:00 p.m., Il Posto Documentos welcomed Josefina Guilisasti, Hilda Díaz and Paula Subercaseaux, who talked with us about the exhibition of their project «Python Morphe» at the Galería Patricia Ready. This project was born from Guilisasti’s interest in producing an exhibition that paid homage to phytomorphic pieces from to the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art’s collection , for which she invited three craftswomen from Rari (Maule Region): Inés Villalobos, Ruth Méndez and Díaz herself, distinguished by UNESCO as a Living Human Treasure.

The conversation at our Research Center was moderated by researcher Paz López and addressed issues related to traditional culture, community work and the links between craftsmanship and contemporary art.
