Last Tuesday, December 13, Enrique Ramírez, artist from the Il Posto Collection, visited Il Posto Documentos to talk with art theorist and historian Ignacio Szmulewicz about some of his recent and future works. During this conversation, the guests reflected on 4 of the artist’s projects: “Ocean”, “Incerteza”, “Dos brillos blancos agrupados y giratorios” y “Jusque-la.”

The meeting at Il Posto Documentos confirmed that Ramirez’s work poses a very singular poetic visual-investigative-installational approach when compared to what had been seen in Chilean art from the late 1980s to the 2000s.» As Smulevitch pointed out at the beginning of the conversation, it is a work that emotionally interpellates the viewer, enveloping him with images and sounds, to talk about themes that until then had been elaborated in a colder way, such as memory, politics, recent history, human rights, migration and globalization.
